Keep at -18°C or below until use. Thaw only the quantity needed for one trip; do not refreeze after thawing.
Match rig weight to depth and current — lighter for estuaries, heavier for surf or offshore. Present bait naturally near structure or bait trails.
4/0–8/0 for snapper and dhufish; #2–2/0 for KG whiting strips.
Score flesh lightly for extra scent release. Tough texture means it outlasts softer baits in crab-heavy areas.
Fish dawn, dusk and tide changes. Reduce lead and leader size when water is clear and fish are cautious.
